Mountain Roads in Street View
Fifteen drives that exist mainly because somebody wanted the view.
A mountain road is the one thing Street View does better than almost any other medium. The camera moves continuously, so you get the sequence: the climb, the switchbacks, the moment the valley opens up. A photograph gives you one frame of that and a video gives you somebody else's pace.
These are roads where the engineering is part of the interest. Several were cut into cliffs, one was built for military reasons and is absurdly overspecified, and a few exist purely because a view was considered worth the cost.
Coverage on high passes is seasonal by definition. Several of these were captured with snow at the roadside, and one or two only exist in summer imagery because the road is closed for half the year.
